Day 10

This morning Megan and I part ways as she heads on a tour to Versailles and I instead opt for museums. Passing lock bridges and wandering through the Tuilleries I find myself at the Louvre and beat the queues to see the magnificent Mona Lisa. From there I wander about, eventually stumbling across the famous Venus De Milo as well.

After this, I walk across to The Musee D'Orsay - which turns out to be my preference over the Louvre. Lots of Rodin and Van Gogh! Stunning in an old train station building. I wander about for hours before meeting Megan after her tour so that we can head underground for a cool tour of the creepy Catacombs. That evening we go to the Palais Garnier to see some Ballet. It is not quite what we expect. Lots of random artists performing right across the beautiful building. We stay for a little before heading back to the hotel. We eat nearby and I bravely try the escargot. They are delicious!
